At the end of each semester, there will be an examination (here-in-after called end-semester examination) conducted by the University as per program announced by the Controller of Examinations. Back paper examinations, if any, shall be held with the normal end-semester examination. There will be no separate supplementary examination under normal condition for I / II / III year students. For the purposes of degree only supplementary examination for both 7th and 8th semester shall be held within one month of the publication of 8th semester examination results.
Each item under this classification shall be evaluated on the basis of 100% percentage points, subdivided into the following four categories
- End-Semester Examination : 70 points
- Internal Exam / Class tests : 15 points
- Quizzes and Assignments : 10 points
- Attendance : 5 points
Every item in this category shall be evaluated out of 100 percentage points, divided under two broad categories as detailed below :
- End Semester Examination : 60 points
- Laboratory Sessionals : 40 points
